I am debating removing the Intramural Zombie Hunter design from the store, for just a moment.

But why, David? It’s your best-selling design! It’s been lauded by the likes of Preshrunk! People are crazy for this one!

Let me assure you, I love making them, BUT…within a month or so we will be offering a new and improved Intramural Zombie Hunter design. I didn’t think that we would be able to make the change this soon, so I apologize, but some financial ducks just got themselves in a row and the planets have aligned (seriously in the past day or two, which I’ll explain later) and I’m going to be able to do this design the way it should be done, based on your suggestions.

Actually, I won’t remove it from the store, but I am going to place a warning on the shirt’s page.

I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to do it (either via a coupon or something), but I’m going to offer a good discount on the new Intramural Zombie Hunter design to all people who have previously ordered them. Some of you may not even want the new one, but I want to give you the option, and I know I’m always pissed when I buy a DVD and then two months later the ULTIMATE SPECIAL CRAZY EDITION comes out, and plus, I want to be good to you, the people that have brought us this far.

So what are we planning on implementing?

1. I have been fine-tuning the blood formula (it’s a blend of thinned-down inks), and have become pretty good at applying it.
2. We will be offering CUSTOM NUMBERS and CUSTOM PLAYER NAMES on the back and left chest, in order to make it like a real sports team. Your shirt will be completely customized, just for you, but we’ll still be able to offer it at a reasonable price. This is because I’m going to have access to a heat transfer press, which is what shops use to put names and numbers on the back of athletic shirts and jerseys.
3. All shirts will soon be printed on American Apparels, which are one of the nicest shirts out there.
4. I’m going to construct some zombie appendages to simulate bite marks and hand swipes better.

ANYWAY, I’ve gotta hit the post office really quickly before heading down to North Carolina, so I’ve got to go.

PS - If you recently ordered an Intramural Zombie Hunter shirt recently and would like to cancel it, don’t hesitate to contact me and we’ll make it happen. Rest assured, I’ll be giving a pretty good discount on the new design, too, so maybe you’ll just want to hold onto your old one. Let me know, and again, sorry to suddenly pull this out of my hat - I wish we could have done it this way all along, but not only did it take me awhile to come up with all of this, but there’s no way we could have afforded it when we were just starting out.

Bryce Dopp Says:

Doh! I just ordered the Zombie Hunter Shirt today and I didn’t stop to read this first! I know, I know, you’re thinking “idiot”, but I would like to put my order on hold until I can customize the shirt as you’ve explained. Sorry for the hassle but that would be super-duper.

Thanks,

Bryce

Woo! Excellent news David!

I think I speak for most of the ‘interesting-tee-wearing-internet-community’ when I say we all look forward to the new designs soon to be hitting Seibei Industries.

Handmade, customized tee’s are the way forward! Love from across the Atlantic

hmm…i love zombies…but vampires…..seriously
when we are able to order more customized shirts, i think it would be nice to have a strictly “zombie” based shirt.

Love what ya got goin’
X

PS-Be sure to fill in on what type of customizations will be availabe.

Bryce - consider it done. I just cancelled your order, so no charges should appear on your card. It will just be easiest if you re-order in about a month when the time comes.

Noddy - thanks! Hopefully I won’t disappoint!

Kelsey - I’m not sure if the new one will have KILL AS MANY ZOMBIES AND VAMPIRES AS YOU CAN written anywhere on it, as I’m not sure where I can fit such a long slogan with the back taken up by the name and number. Hopefully people won’t mind.

Hey, I just came across this website and I think it would just be awesome if we could have a “KILL AS MANY _________ AS YOU CAN!” or “KILL AS MANY ______ AND _______ AS YOU CAN!” option. Only, so no one gets in trouble or offended, maybe you could put a disclaimer saying something like “Do not include race, religion, anything else offensive, or whatever” so you don’t get sued.

Heather, again Says:

Oh yeah by the way, you should put a Gore Scale on the page with the zombie shirt so we know just how much blood we’re getting on these babies.

Heather, I definitely should put some kind of gore scale - people always ask me for pictures of various levels of gore, so that’s a great idea!

as far as the kill _____ and _____ idea, it’s interesting, but I’d probably tire myself out making everyone a different t-shirt, or trying to figure out if they were offensive or not. I will keep it in mind though, yeah?

thanks! :D

I love this idea, and I want to get this shirt for some of my friends. However, will the price go up as you add all of these new additions?

Erin, it’s true that the price will go up a little bit - considering the shirt will cost me a decent amount more to make, I think it’s fair. Right now, I’m thinking it will be either $16 or $18, but I doubt I would go higher than that.

For one of the most customizable shirts, that no one else is really doing, on some of the best t-shirts out there, I don’t think that’s terrible, yeah?

This is sweet. The only issue I ever had with the old shirt was that it didn’t really fit the unfortunately skinny male body type the way AA shirts do. Now I can buy a new one and the old one can be my “vintage” Seibei zombie hunter shirt.

That was good news ’till I got to the bit about switching to AA… sorry to hear that :(

well, I understand that there are some people out there that don’t like AA, so if people really want a different brand of shirt, I will be able to oblige.

there really isn’t one brand of shirt out there that will please everyone, unfortunately. I thought about switching to Alternative Apparels, but their color selection isn’t as good as Americans, which is important.

These implementations sound great. I’ve been staring at this shirt for months and the only thing that had been preventing me from buying it was the text on the back. Just seemed like too much, plus I’d let the vampires live.

Once the new shirts come out, I’ll be buying it right away. I can’t stand zombies.

So … is it washer-safe? I coulda sworn some of the “gore” was rubbing off the first time I wore it. Just wondering. Oh, & thanks!

I’m really really really looking forward to getting one of these!

In other zombie news - have ypu seen the new Marvel Zombies comics? I’ve got a pic over at my website (along with a link to you) - there’s something truly genius about a zombified Captain America.

Seibei: Zombie Hunter Tees With Choose-Your-Own-Gore

Binky the Doormat clued us into a zombie-related t-shirt. And, well, you know us and zombies.
As you can see, it’s a would-be jersey for the Intramural Zombie Hunting League. Which is one thing. But something must be special, you’re saying to …

Awesome! For the record, the gore is washer-safe - when the site is revamped, this is going right at the top of the FAQ. it’s screen printing ink, hand-applied and fully dried. no guff!

Oh, and I haven’t heard of the Marvel Zombies series until now, but I’m definitely gonna keep an eye out, and thanks for the mention!

John Kirkpatrick Says:

I am going to get one of your new & improved shirts for my son & his boyfriend. HOWEVER - I am a movie screen sized 5X. Is there a way I can pay a premium & get one for me too?
Thanks, Big Dog JohnK

John - I’ll try my best to make it happen. Heather gray is a pretty common color, so getting it in 5X might take a bit of extra time, but shouldn’t be too tough. we’ll work something out, my man!

I was wondering how the personalized names will work in relation to the blurb on the back, I really like both ideas and was hoping they could work together somehow

Lee - I’m trying to figure that out myself. I’m seeing if I can somehow work it into the emblem on the left chest, in small print (like how you’ll often see a motto printed small on the front there), or something…I’m a big fan of it myself. if you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!

Is it possible to still get one of the older shirts?

Matt, send me an email and I’m sure we can work something out - but have faith in the new stuff coming, too! it’s not going to be terribly different, and I think it’s actually going to be a lot nicer. still, hit me up.

how long before the new shirts are ready?

Debu!
Long time, no see. :3 Whee, I need to order more shirts for you. I still need the Chou Douseiai-sha Mishima one and a couple more. I guess I’ll wait until the new and improved 2.0 Zombie Hunter ones come out, cause I definitely want my own little numbers and my name on the back of it. :D SWEETNESS!

second week in August, all systems should be go. hopefully. it depends on how soon certain shipments get to me, basically.

Man I have a cousin that showed up to a party in one of there and i just about craped! This is the most amazing shirt I have ever seen. i would love to be able to get one of the original desigs and a new one as well. Is there anything I need to do to make this happen?

Just stumbled on this site, and this is a great idea. What other options of types of shirts will you make available besides American Apparel. Im not a big fan of them also.

Probably Anvil, as I still have a decent amount of them and can get my hands on them without much difficulty. However, this will be a special request type thing; it’s not something I plan on doing on the regular.

if you put player names on the back, will it still have the huge “KILL AS MANY ZOMBIES AND VAMPIRES AS YOU CAN” text on the back? i love that.

I actually just came up with a solution that I think will please everyone. I’m going to add a sleeve print to the right sleeve, which is going to be a small crest that says “kill as many zombies and vampires as you can”…possibly inside a skull. Just something that fits in with the corny softball league feel of the design, and something that doesn’t make it too busy. The back will have the player name and number. How does that sound?

[...] that wasn’t enough, though, the Seibei blog on that site reports they’re upgrading the design to include custom numbers and “player names.” Now I think I’m [...]
